RemittRight.com (“RemittRight,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates as an online marketplace and facilitation platform. Our core function is to connect senders with vetted third-party remittance service providers and trusted local vendors to enable purpose-driven purchases of goods and services for beneficiaries. RemittRight does NOT directly engage in money transmission, hold funds on behalf of users or vendors, or directly sell/deliver goods or services.
By accessing or using the RemittRight platform, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Business Risks
- Reliance on Third Parties: RemittRight’s successful operation and reputation are inherently dependent on the performance and reliability of independent third-party remittance service providers (who handle all financial transactions) and local vendors (who provide and deliver the actual goods or services). Any failure, delay, or issue on the part of these third parties can impact your experience and the successful delivery of your intended purpose, despite RemittRight’s vetting efforts.
- Market Acceptance & Scalability: The success of RemittRight relies on widespread adoption by both senders and partners. Unforeseen market dynamics, competition, or challenges in onboarding a sufficient network of remittance services and reliable vendors could impact our growth and service availability.
- Operational Challenges: While we strive for seamless operations, technical issues, cybersecurity threats, or unforeseen logistical challenges can occur, potentially affecting platform availability or transaction processing.
Legal & Regulatory Risks
- No Money Transmission/Payment Services: RemittRight explicitly does not act as a money transmitter, payment service provider, bank, or financial institution. We do not collect, hold, or transfer funds. All financial transactions are conducted directly between the sender and the chosen, independent remittance service provider. Users are subject to the terms and conditions of their selected remittance service provider.
- Regulatory Interpretation & Evolution: Regulatory frameworks governing technology platforms, cross-border transactions, and financial services are complex and vary by jurisdiction, often evolving rapidly. While we strive to operate in compliance, there is a risk that our activities could be subject to interpretations by regulators that might impose unforeseen licensing requirements, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), or Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) obligations, even if we do not directly handle funds.
- Implied Partnership Liability: Despite clear disclaimers, there is a potential risk that, in certain jurisdictions, RemittRight could be perceived to have a form of implied partnership or joint venture liability with its third-party partners. This could potentially expose RemittRight to legal claims arising from the actions or omissions of those partners.
- Dispute Resolution: While RemittRight aims to facilitate transparent transactions, any disputes regarding funds (with the remittance service) or product/service delivery (with the vendor) must primarily be resolved directly between the sender, beneficiary, and the respective third-party provider. RemittRight will endeavor to assist in such situations but holds no direct legal liability for their actions or inactions.
Liability & Product Risks
- Limited Liability: RemittRight’s liability is strictly limited to its role as a facilitating marketplace. We are not liable for the quality, safety, legality, or delivery of products or services provided by third-party vendors, nor for the successful completion of financial transactions by remittance service providers.
- Product/Service Quality & Safety: While vendors are vetted, RemittRight does not manufacture, warrant, or directly control the quality, safety, or suitability of products or services offered by third-party vendors. Any issues with product defects, service quality, or resulting harm are the sole responsibility of the respective vendor.
- Accuracy of Information: While RemittRight strives to ensure information on its platform is accurate, we cannot guarantee the complete accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of information provided by third-party remittance services or vendors.
Other Potential Risk Exposures
- Reputational Damage: Any significant negative experiences with a third-party remittance service or vendor listed on RemittRight could lead to reputational damage for RemittRight, even if we are not directly responsible for the issue.
- Data Security & Privacy: While RemittRight implements security measures, no online platform is entirely immune to data breaches or cyberattacks. The security of user data remains a priority, but risks persist.
